The preparation for the plantation was started on mid 25th of July by getting 300 plants from the Whitefield forest department nursery driving the way through the IT Sector part of Vasant Viberal City Bangalore in a car one of our own members Rahul who drove the car was really conscious both on the plants and his car. We unloaded the plants in the close neighborhood from the sight we thought to plant. Later we 3 members of the yuva walked our way for survey of the park to clearly know where exactly would be elegant to plant much better in the desired area. We were amazed of the place as sight of park which had more 60% a lake so there could be no water tension for the plants, being evening the sun was setting to rest and view filled of our eyes with sight of beauty. Completing our survey we returned back to our owns to rest our souls for the work day.

26th July

YUVA heads were busy making announcements for gathering members as this was between the time line of vacation. Early in the morning the first sight was volunteers who came early because they had no exact timing given so initially we transported 60 - 80 plants in our own vehicles because of some disturbance in our car. Slowly later we were 5 in all we started to dig, thought not to delay waiting for others to come join slowly as we started at 3rd plant to dig, then others joined us. We had our own introduction talking to each other about how we reached the place. We started to do the plantation. Slowly we had a news that women welfare association would be joining us from the locals to help hand in hand. But joined us a bit late for plantation but they had already sent morning/ mid snacks of biscuits and fruits like apples and bananas. Late at the time they joined, our car came loaded with the plants and now we were in total 20 all together. It was lunch time but might not be shyness no one asked for lunch, thought was only to complete the plantation. At 3pm we had our lunch in the park which we got it by nearby hotel. Later slowly the women welfare association moved off, we were alone in the park as the park was closed. Quicker the time ran it was 4:30pm, public started to visit the park as regular but we were a sight to note our work. Few questions from elderly people was like from where? How? Why? But also a lot more appreciation. We were running late but we also need to take note of time we know we need to go at 5pm. We started to pack up making count of 150 plants in the park and at the end we had our photo session.

We then left the place with smiling faces and feeling of satisfaction. Our journey to this place was for a cause and we left the place with dreams of seeing the plants grow into trees.

Thanks to all the yuvans and women welfare association team for the cooperation in making this event successful and memorable one.

We are coming up with a big project and that is planting 10000 trees in one single day !

We need you help in executing this -

How you can help us execute the plan?

Well this is where your action is needed. YUVA has put in an extensive amount work in preparing the plan to its scratch level and has come up with an expenditure of the project –

10k in 1 Day – Kolar’s first Miyawaki Forest

The total funding required for the project –

Rs. 5,00,000 / 10,000 plants

Rs. 50 per plant

We tend to spend Rs.100/- on travel, movie tickets, chats etc. Your contribution to this project as minimum as Rs. 100/- can bring lives to two plants and help improve the green cover that we have lost over the decades due to mindless deforestation. We have depleted the ground water and have made beautiful bird species into verge of extinction.

DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT THIS IS WHAT WE ARE LEAVING FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATION?

Adopt two trees today. Click right away on the link below and do your part -
